I have to add a few categories to a navigation menu which uses images. I have to figure out which font is being used and I'm having a tough time figuring it out. I've checked out http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ but when I upload the image it gives me several results which do not match.

Is there a program or another Website that can identify fonts used in imagaes?

that's either arial, or helvetica.

Not really narrow enough for Arial. Looks more like one of the Univers flavours, or possibly Verdana.

I typed company profile in fireworks, arial bold 10pt.
exact.

definitely not univers or verdana.

I could have sworn that I tried Arial and it looked totally different than the font in this image. I'll try again. Thanks a lot.

Update: I tried Arial, bold 10pt and it looks nearly identical. The letters are closer together in the image. Maybe they added a style to it.

If the letters are closer together the software used for the graphic probably had kerning capability which allows for the adjustment of space between letters.

yep. If you're using fireworks, use the kerning in the properties box. You can use values like 0.5

I wasn't aware of the kerning feature. I should be able to do this on photoshop too. Thanks again.

yes, use the charactar palette and the one second down on the right with the 'AV" with the arrow below it will set global kerning, but for more precise letter to letter control, place cursor in between the 2 letters you want to change, and well mac is option arrow key (the direction you want) pc it might be alt arrow.
