Considering purchasing a XBOX360

Of coruse with any gaming console you hear the good and you hear the bad. I am currently looking at the $499.99 bundle that they are offering. To all you XBOX360 owners out there....how satisified are you with the system? Does it meet your expectations? I am a RPG and Sports gaming fan, so I hope there are some good ones available.

One last thing..Do you have to purchase a memory card with the $499.99 bundle in order to save your game progress or can you save it directly to the HD?

I'm lovin my 360 so far. Surprisingly enuff, I'm addicted to checking out what's on XBOXLive Marketplace (pretty much the first thing I do everytime I fire up the 360). Pretty much all other 360 owners on the TCM forums are on my friends list so we message each other every now and then, or play online together... great fun!!!! I know Law just got Enchanted Arms which is an RPG, and from what I hear, he's likin it alot. And the 07' Sports titles are just starting to trickle in for the holiday season so keep a close eye on those. So far every game I've purchased I've been more than happy with playing!!! Go for it!

Oh, and if the 499 bundle comes with a hard drive, then no need for a memory card to save games!!!!

There's that, and if you look at this thread (http://www.thecomputermechanics.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18660) the chances of even getting one at launch are slim to none... With The U.S. only receiving 400k, how many do you actually think will get across the border to the Great White???? This is a self inflicted wound for Sony IMO.

from what speculations on the ps3 coming it now doesn't come with the hdmi cable that it once was..companies making ps3 games have now jumped over to 360 as sony keeps changing specs and performance on there systemm..sony is a company that gets groups on board and says this is what its going to be take it or see ya..i have the first 360 and love it..never had a problem with it..at the last e3 it had 10 games that cold be in the top ten for sales and or game of the years where ps3 only had 5..mass effect,bio wars,halo 3,forza racing 2,gears of wars among others are all games coming out soon..oblivion is console game of the year and is on its way to begin one of the biggest games ever..as far as the saving u can get the system then for xmas get the extra memory unit which is more saving games to take to a friends place..get the component cables,get lots of batteries or recharge packs and enjoy..if u want afew good games i suggest fights knights round 3,tiger woods 07,oblivion,pg3 and ninghty nine knights

I bought the 360 recently and have 10 games, GUN, TOP SPIN, OBLIVION, PREY. BASEBALL, DEAD RISING, PERFECT DARK ZERO, GHOST RECON, LARA CROFT TOMBRAIDER and FARCRY PREDATOR! So far I really like it. However, certain games I prefer to play on PC such as Call Of Duty 2 but for sports games it rocks! The video quality is very good ! Of course the graphics are driven by ATI , which makes me wonder what will happen for the next console in terms of graphics , seeing as AMD now bought ATI . If you have the money, I would highly recommend buying a Samsung High Defintion to go wiht your 360 as it really does bring the games to life , especially at 1080 resolution. My gamertag on XBOX Live is BeamMeUpScottie!!

Im late to this thread but I bought one a few months after release from EB games. I still love the system. Lots of great games comming up soon.

Right now Im playing Enchanted arms and before that I was into Ninety nine nights.

I play it on my pc monitor using the VGA cable because it looks alot better than on a regular tv.

I love the online service, demos are great, and for a while me and Nuke had some really fun times playing Perfect Dark Zero online co op and online deathmatches. So if you get the system make sure to get LIVE also.

I usually buy my games used for 30 or 40 bucks. No sense paying 80 bucks a game

I just recently got Enchanted Arms and Saints row..Not buying anymore games until i have played the ones i have lol! Law..Dead Rising looks very good and will probably be the main game i play for a bit!

Letme know what you think of Enchanted Arms. I wa a little annoyed by the first part of the game but after that i started to really enjoy it. I like it more every time i play it.

Yeah! I agree, I popped in the Enchanted Arms and the first part of the game turned me right off, but if the game gets much better after that then thats cool! I have been a PC gamer most of my life, so getting aqainted with the 360 (especially controls) will take some getting used to! But so far , I am very impressed with the 360 overall , but having saidthat, I still love my PC for certain games!

I just got Saint's Row this past wkend as well. So far a fun game, even though its such a blatant rip-off of GTA. My next game will be NBA2k7, then Forza II...

I agree, it is a blatant rip off of GTA, but I am absolutely loving it so far. I'm trying to finish all the mingames first cuz you get some uber cool items. So far I've got a gold plated glock, and platinum shotty, uzi, and RPG! with free ammo you just restock from your crib. I found all the tags and hidden CD's, for secret tracks and infinite stamina. I also got some clothes and wheel men/women to call on my cell for assistance, Tons of uniquie whips (cars)... there's just so much more to do still... LOVE THIS GAME.

i agree, LOVE saints row, my favorite game by far, the main story isnt as long as i hoped it would be but still great, took me 21 hours to beat, but i still have most of the minigames to go, GET IT FOR SHO
