Ken, check out this site (http://www.factmonster.com/guineapigs1.html).

They suggest hay instead of cedar chips. And a wire cage instead of a glass one.

Fury may make a personality great to you, but it doesn't do much for me.

Yes. Methinks he meant to type 'furry'. :)

Ken, check out this site (http://www.factmonster.com/guineapigs1.html).

They suggest hay instead of cedar chips. And a wire cage instead of a glass one. thanks for the tip but what you see is not cedar
chips its clean pine. though not the best product to use it works
better at soking up wet at a lower cost and dosen't carry the mites
straw does. there are other products but the cost is way to high and
there claims can be a bit drastick. as for the cage both of mine are
filter ventalated.

Dax is very pretty, beautiful colouring, congrats on the addition to your family :)

And Dierdra, it would be a perfect world if everyone were as perfect as you, but it's not.

Thank you Tess:)
Swordy I believe she is six months old. She has had a litter
already which is a good thing for them. I am looking to breed
her at some point but need to find a large male with same color
and no tuft with short hair. the other one we have is a runt
and also the last surviver of the litter her mom was the one we
just lost. depending on breeding and care they live from 4-7
years on average. she is very well toilet trained well so to speak
she don't use a toilet lol but has learned in a very short time
to hold herself and signal when she needs to be doing her business.
