Wireless problems

I have just formatted 1 of my computers (now running Win XP Home)this computer is not detected on my wireless network?? This computer does get online , but when I try to connect my base computer cannot find it? I have a wireless hub Linksys in a seperate room from all he computers, the other 2 computers have usb wireless connected to them. I am trying to use real vnc but it does not work?? Does anyone have any ideas?

I'll assume you have SP2 installed? Then its the firewall

I do have sp2 installed but the firewall is off I have norton security on but I have turned that off also.
