I heard that you can fit more songs on your mp3 player by using wma format instead of mp3 format..Anyone know if this is true?
Also what freeware or shareware should I use to convert the files...Maybe there is something in my computer that does this without my knowledge...I.E. window media player, real player, etc.....

Thanks for all help with this issue

i use wmamp3 converter, but i prefer using mp3 for my portable and jack the song to a higher bitrate...160 or 192, for better clarity. You can lower either format in this program to a lower bitrate if you want (96 or even 64) but i find quality suffers.
