Reasons undisclosed and for a night ;) ....make that a couple of hours. I dont have a credit card and it seems like everyone wants one. Are there any north toronto hotels/motels that take cash security deposits or charge upfront?

If its only for a couple of hours.. I think she's gona be disappointed.. (j/k) lol
Most hotels we deal with only want a credit card to secure the reservation (for when our guys arrive after normal check in hours)
The security deposit might have something to do with your age?
You might want to try places like Comfort Inn.. Motel 6... Sleep Inn... Quality Inn... (not sure they rent by the hour tho lol)

You could try the places Mitch mentioned and ask for a day rate. Tell them you're travelling or in town for something and just need a place to sleep for a few hours. If they aren't booked solid they might be happy to have the business.

Try lying to them about you being an out of town, but I dont know if you can pull it or not. They might to ask for your address or something from that outside town or city.

Well, if he would want to get a room with his condition right now which is for a couple of hours; then he can justify his couple of hour by being an out of town person travelling and he wants to rest for some hours and then hit the road again.

I just dont agree with your statement about lying, my ethics tell me otherwise its only a motel room, if he wants one that bad then go with a friend he trusts and get them to rent it then pay them up front and be honest rather then lying about it.
Mouse

They are there to rent rooms, not to be a moral judge.
Stick a broom handle up your *&^, go up to the desk, and ask for a room.
mander
08-10-2005, 11:55 AM
Call one of the motels and be upfront and honest and tell them you only need it for a few hours to catch a quick nap. You still may have to pay the daily rate regardless of how long you are there. Also let them know you dont have a credit card and will be paying cash upon arrival. People do this everyday. Just be honest about your plans and dont lie as they know something is up then.

I assume you know from personal experience :p
When someone says "Get a room" we both know they mean a hotel room, but just to save future confusion the lobby doesn't count as one of those rooms :p

Ever play 'footsie' with a girl, and have her dump her chair over backward???
I tried not to laugh, really I did.

You guys are too much :d
Ive spoken to Comfort Inn and Holiday Inn, both of which are fine with no credit card. So which should I spring for? I have no experience with either of these motels.

Either or they are both as good, just check the cost for the room and take the cheaper of the 2.

See if Holidy Inn will give you great rates. I think you have to book by calling 1-800-holiday, but the rate is significantly lower.

Actually both are good places
Like already suggested check the rates, you also may want to check what you get with the rooms.. (I think the Holiday Inn offers a complimentary breakfast)

When I traveled I always stayed at Comfort Inn... nothing fancy, but not a sleezy dump.
The rooms at Holiday are a lil nicer, so if you can get it without paying too much more, then go Holiday :d
Oh, and have fun :vil:

Just dont use that at a motel...you might end up getting a slap and spend the night alone. Just be yourself, relax and enjoy the night completely alone with them, no distractions.
If this is someone very special, arrange for a single red rose on her pillow prior to your arrival. Its a nice romantic touch.

Thanks SF. Also, (this is something I do with every motel I stay at) ...I always leave a couple bucks tip for the person that cleans the room. They work damn hard for minimum wage most of the time and an extra buck or two in their pocket will show you have respect for the person doing the cleaning just as you would in a restaurant for the server. If the room is super clean when you get there, put any garbage where it belongs...in the trash. Dont leave it sitting everywhere. If the room is clean when I get there and everything is in place where it should be, a tip is in order for the housekeeping staff for doing an excellent job. Just a thought.;)

I guess I'll never understand human behaviour. Women are evil, meaning they are deceitful, lie, and don't know what they want but try to make your life a miserable hell.

Social interaction studies can get very iffy, 007. I'd suggest that you stop over analyzing those around you, and take a more down to Earth approach to trying to understand people. You can't profile anyone fully without knowing their past conditioning etc, etc. I think its better to just enjoy the ride and learn from your mistakes.

I beg to differ, it's very narrow minded to generalize like that, it just sounds like total bitterness from a bad experience or the total wrong choices you've made in your own life.
People are individuals governed by different morals and principles, be they men or women, doesnt matter.
So if women are evil it would be a fair statement to say that men are also evil. Some are some arent. I know from my own experiences.
You must live in such a small world that you judge PEOPLE by sex. I feel sorry for you because you cant see past your own experiences and judge people for their individuality on their own merit, rather than your jaded perception.
Do you group your mother into 'all women'?

I've given everybody chances but they seem to have put a knife in my back. Both sexes. This is why I don't trust anybody and much less women. They seem to like to play games with me and nothing else. That is why I have that generilization. All you need is one bad apple to ruin everything.
Tess, yes I group my mom into that as well. I have my reasons for that.

Not everyone is like that and there are some really nice girls out there Do you really want to spend the rest of your life generalising? because of one person?
Dude you'll wind up alone and bitter the rest of your day's and I think thats abit of a waste.

Sad really.
Bitterness carried over is certainly a waste, but sometimes that is realized too late (if ever). Blaming everyone to follow else for some individuals mistake(s) doesnt make sense, it's like penalizing yourself, depriving yourself, denying yourself.
Oh well.
