I was thinking of taking computer systems technician at durham but my friend told me it was a waste of time and i won't able to find a job is this true?
Is computer systems technician and computer system technology the same program at durham? Is going into any type of computer type job going to be hard to find work then any other type of job like trade jobs?

Like any other job, you need training to get decent employment. As far as number of jobs go - well, computers are here to stay. Every business, pretty well, uses computers. If you have the aptitude and a technical mind, then it could be a good careerpath.

Any job first starts at "ground level" while you gain job experience. The first 2 or 3 years in the job market are the toughest (in any career you choose).

How is Durham College's success in assistance for job placement? Ask.
What is their student job seeking success after graduation? Ask.

Well, I did the Computer System Technician at Fanshawe College and now work for Research In Motion. I graduated August 2004.
