The E6300 should be able to get around 2.0Ghz to 2.4Ghz normally.

You might be able to get it higher.

You sure your processor runs at 1.8Ghz? The E6300 is suppose to operate at 1.86 Ghz.

Try running a program called CPU-Z, it will tell you what your processor speed is.

Regarding the overclocking, you should be be able to get to 2.0Ghz easily. It might take some tweaking to get up to 2.4 Ghz and beyond.
