My friend just got a new computer preloaded with XP Home. I went over to her house to set it up and install software for her.

When you open MSN her e-mail address is already displayed and in order to sign in you just click the button, it did not ask for the password. There are several people living in her house and she would like to password protect her MSN yet allow others to use the computer.

I searched through the MSN options menu but couldn't find anything to say always ask for password when loging in. How can you do this?

There is only one XP user account, which is not password protected. I have a feeling this has something to do with the XP user accounts.

Its because she set it to remeber password (or made her msn email the default for that profile).... Their is a way to take it back:

Go into control panel, And go to User Accounts, Click the User thats their that she uses, Their should be something about .NET Passport that should do it, Sorry i dont have the exact steps, I never saved it. But it should be in their.

Try this click on your msn messenger and go to TOOLS then OPTIONS click on GENERAL then click on CHANGE and in there you should be able to delete passport account that is in there and it should tell you to enter a email and password.

Remove the .NET Credentials
(Stored User names and Passwords)

To remove the Stored User Names and Passwords from your system, try this:

- Click Start, Run and type Control keymgr.dll
- Remove the entries from the list.

Other way:

From Control Panel, select your User Account, click Manage your network passwords.
