So today I finally boggled down with a friend and did my front end brakes. I was shocked at how easy it was to do...I always had the impression that it was difficult for some reason...I ran into a few minor problems...primarily removing the retaining pin and mounting the caliper back on....the rotors were suprisingly even easier to get off...the darn thing just looks so complicated to me.......the one side took me about 2.5hrs and the other about 30 mins....just goes to show how quickly and confidently you can do things by taking your time and learning along the way...I'm proud of myself...saved $300+ by not taking it to the dealership.....next up...the rear end probably in a couple weeks.

As long as you didn't disturb the pistons, you're in good shape. :)

Might I ask what kind of car? Fronts are the easiest to do, but if it has rear clipers, there is a different procedure than doing the front with regards to the emergency brake. Just be sure to have a manual of some sort for those. If it has drums, dont forget to properly adjust the shoes for ultimate braking.

Mannish Boy (I'm A Man)
Muddy Waters versoin
Now when I was a little boy
At the age of five
I had something in my pocket
Keep a lot of folks alive
Now I'm a man
Made twenty one
You know baby
We can have a lot of fun
I'm a man
I spell it M A N
All you pretty women
Stand in line
I can make love to you baby
In an hour's time
I'm a man
Spelt M A N
I'm going back down
To Kansas too
Bring back the second cousin
Little John the conquadoo
I'm a man
Spelt M A N
The line I shot
Will never miss
The way I make love to them
They can't resist
