What this bush is? I thought it was a Purple Sandcherry but was told it isnt. It's much darker and redder in the summer than it is now and all one colour.

Just a wild guess, but google 'purple smoke bush'...it has a very distinctive bloom in the summer though hence its name.

That's it! Thanks to all. That settled that. I took the pictures this afternoon, it's all different colours right now.

Glad to have helped...it can grow fairly large 7-8' tall, and you are in for a treat when it flowers...looks like smoke or haze hanging on the end of the branches...I think it may take several years to start flowering but I have never owned one just have seen them in the neighbourhood.
