From what I've read; you can convert a breadmachine recipe into a regular oven recipe but, I was wondering if the converse is true! Has anyone here been successful?

I suppose it depends on what you have in mind to do. Perhaps post the recipe here and someone may have a better idea as to what you are wanting to do.

Yes you can and yes I have. I lost the bread machine cook book and for a few months just grabbed a bread recipe off the 'net. Found my cook book again too.

The real trick to making regular dough work in a bread machine is to do the following. Make sure you correctly convert the amount of regular yeast to bread machine yeast and put the ingredients in the bread machine bowl in the right order. Normally liquids and salt first, then flour/sugar and yeast.

We only ever used regular yeast in our bread machine.

I've done the same in the past when I've been out of bread machine yeast but I find when converting a recipe it's important to eliminate as many potential problems as possible - at least the first time around - so that if something does go wrong you can more easily determine what caused the problem.
