I've been itching to get a new cell phone since my previous one broke down a couple of months ago. I'm currenly with Fido, and you know what GREAT selection they have! (roll eyes) SO, I'm thinking of getting one at Pacific Mall or something

here's a list of my requirements/wants:

- GSM, tri-mode
- flip phone
- mp3 ringtones, can download them myself
- at least infrared
- no external antenna
- best if it has an external display as well, but not required
- basic features like alarm clock and calendar (although I think every phone has these features)
- don't have to have camera/mp3 player ability (since I have a digital camera and mp3 player anyways, I don't need it in my phone)

I really like the appearance of LG U880 and Samsung E870, I guess you can say that I like the whole Japanese flip phone deisgn. thanks for any recommendation! and I don't like SE or Motorola, bad experience with their phones....

I am using an unlocked Razor V3 and love it. Try RFD or Howard for better deals.

Try Gsmarena.com they have tons of phones on there, many are not available in North America, but that does not mean you can't get them on ebay.

Be carefull of the independant sellers in Pac Mall. A lot of them offer no warranty or the warranty is no good in Canada, as they are not authorized dealers.

I second that grs7 says, be very weary of who you buy the phone from and that it can be serviced in Canada.

ok, I've finally figure out that I'm going to get a Nokia 6280 or 6288, whichever one's cheaper, since they are practically the same thing

I was just going to ask about the stores at Pac Mall....... I've never brought a phone from independant sellers before, so how do I go about this without getting ripped off? Also, how do I figure out if the phone has some functioins locked?
