We just built a new computer, and its got a dual core intel pentium d, its 64-bit. Its also got an Asus P5wd2 Motherboard, Just after Windows finishes loading the drivers, I get a blue screen that says something about the hard drive being corrupt, with the error 0x0000007b. We tried the hard drive in another cpu and it worked fine. I googled this and it looks to be driver issues. Were trying to install a Slipstreamed Windows XP Pro SP2. And im not sure of the drivers i need for it to work properally. It is the 32-bit windows, because I heard the 64-bit version is unstable and i dont want to waste more money...

Did the error message also say something about INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE? Also what kind of hard drive is it - sata or pata? I'm assuming there is just one drive installed. It's not necessarily drivers. Windows needs to have the boot files on the first partition of the first drive. You may need to reformat and reinstall, but check other things first. If it's an sata drive, check the boot drive order in the bios. Some boards want scsi listed for the hard drive. Check through here for some other troubleshooting tips:

This was awhile ago, but the problem was with drivers. After awhile we found the IDE drivers for the motherboard to load in during the windows install. All we did was use a floppy, run an EXE that was on the CD to make the disc, pressed F6 when it said to. Worked fine after the driver was loaded.
