View Full Version : Logging On?
For about 24 hours I have had trouble logging on to TCM site. I have it as my home page. Every time I went on the INTERNET the Home Page would come up and I would have to log on. I would go through the process and the Home Page would come back (after thanking me for logging on) but I would be back to the Home Page without being logged on. Les suggested that I clear my cookies which I did. Now I can log on but even with the remember me box checked, I still have to log on each time I go on the INTERNET or return to the TCM Homepage. I have done my AVG and Ad-Aware scans, and checked the area for gremlins in the vicinity but can fine nothing amiss. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Neal.
Even when I go to read a thread and then return to the forums page I have been logged out.
Curious?

Have you made any changes to your system in the last 2 days?
Are you running tabs, and jumping between them??
The only things I did were most of the Windows XP HE updates and tried to update my ATI MMC card (which didn't work, again). Could one of these things caused it?

Have had the same problem for 3 or 4 days. Only new item installed is the latest Windows Defender.
Maybe I got that update too. Pain in the.... having to log in every thirty seconds eh?

No problems here logging in or out...,.Are you behind a firewall Neal?
The AVG Anti Virus and Firewall. It has never had this effect before and I have had it since AVG got their own firewall and dropped the Kerio Firewall. It's still happening too but just to TCM's site. Even if I were to go back to TCM Homepage from here (after posting this reply) it would require me to log on again.
Have you changed your cookie privacy settings?

Not that I am aware of. Maybe one of the Microsoft updates did. That's all I can think of.
Neal.

It might be caused by deleting browsing history when using IE7. See IE7 tools/internet options/browsing history.
That is the one thing I didn't download was IE7. (and the mystery deepens)

Mysteriouser and misteriouser, I now almost have my TCM password memorized. That is the only site where I have a problem. My password only drops when I go off the web and re-enter!
