Hi, I have a compaq evo d515 and i need a driver for the sound card. I already checked the compaq web site and there was none.
Does anyone know where to get a free sound card driver?
Thanks in advance

What is the sound card make and model?
Go to the manufacturers website to get the drivers for it.

That's the audio chip on the card... many use it.
Why do yo need a driver for it? Are you just looking for an updated driver or did you loose the one you had?

I have evo d515 and had missing drivers for ethernet, USB Video and
multimedia
I fixed multimedia by with ADI Soundmax from Compaq.com service/downloads
still dont know how to egt the other three fixed.
I think the problem is Im running W2K SP4 with roll up update pack but still I think it needs XP.
basicly I cant install my ADSL modem because the software hangs up with a memory error.
Same thing happens when I try to load my kids UB Funkeys.
Funny thing is that Office 2003 works fine.

The motherboard website will have drivers for the chipset and when they are installed it will help the system identify on board devices better. Windows should then be able to support the devices better. Fiding other drivers will be easier then.
