Problem loading win xp pro

My computer loads and it gets to the screen where it shows the windows screen where the blue thing moves but then after that screen the computer monitor turns off and it seems like it goes to sleep and nothing happens, it's just a black screen. Can anyone help me???

It just happened, it was working fine, I changed the keyboard and then this started.

Have you tried putting the other keyboard back to see it it boots normally?

Can you get into safe mode?

Is this a new multimedia keyboard, and/or wireless? I ask, because if you really want to use it, should be able to get live again as Mitch states above, get back on with your old keyboard, install the proper software drivers that may have come with the keyboard, shutdown, plug in the keyboard or keyboard receiver, and reboot. If USB, try another USB port. If wireless the receiver unit may need to be "started" by a small button on it.

Good point Bogie..
If the keyboard is USB you might need to change a setting in the bois to allow it to see it when it boots up.. (I had one like that once)
