I went and saw Green Day on the 12th at Molson Park in Barrie then Foo Fighters on the 13th at Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto.
Wow, they were amazing.
Green Day is so good live. They put on a crazy show from start to finish. They had explosions, lights, fire shooting from every which way, fireworks, and a lot more. **** was always happening. They even got some guys from the audience up to make a "band" and play a bit which turned out really cool and different. The one guy got to keep the guitar and the band got the guy on drums to do a stage dive. Also, they got some kid to go up and use this weird lookin' gun to spray water all over the audience, it was nuts all over. Anti-Flag and Jimmy Eat World opened for them. There was a lot of "**** YOU GEORGE BUSH" going on at that concert (haha). Yeah, there were so many people there... wow.
The Foo Fighters show was really great, too, at that one we had seats so we didn't have to fend off vicious, sweaty mobs. They had amazing lights and screens and such; not as crazy as the Green Day show, but it was great fun nonetheless. The Constantines and Sloan opened for them. I've never seen an audience go so nuts for an opening act like Sloan, hehe. Lots of people there, too, Dave Grohl said it was the biggest show they have ever done (biggest audience) which is pretty cool.
Both bands made some pretty funny jokes, too. Can't really say them. It was a blast.
P.S.
Anyone selling Nine Inch Nails/Queens Of The Stone Age tickets? I really want to go to it, but it sold out so damn fast... I may have some from a member in a different forum, but I may have to result to Ebay: my last resort if that's what it comes to. I really, really wanna see them, though.
