i have a Sony Viao PCV RX650 desktop, i replaced the harddrive with an older one i had, because im using that computer as an extra. but the computer wont let me boot up my XP cd to install windows and i cant use the recovery cds with it. also i tryed putting a HD with XP installed but that wouldnt boot, just a blinking _

Did you set the new hdd as master? same with the other hdd with xp installed?

Make sure the BIOS detects the new hdd.

yea i checked. the boot up is CD than HD so even if i try to install the os with my XP cd it wont load, but it worked fine on my other computer :S
