I'm trying to decide which wireless card to get as I am going to school in a few weeks and the apt complex I live in is using wireless iNet (internet). I'm trying to decide between these: Belkin F5D8000 Wireless Pre-N Desktop Network Card (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=202570&pcount=&Product_Id=186931), Belkin Wireless G Plus Network Card (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Section_Id=201522&pcount=&Product_Id=179458), Proxim ORiNOCO 11a/b/g PCI Card Gold (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00009OLMK/qid=1124221223/sr=8-6/ref=pd_bbs_unbuck_6/104-6253261-9256701?v=glance&s=electronics&n=541966). The wireless G Belkin I can get for $30 (USD) because of belkins online coupon code for 50% off. but it doesn't work for the Pre-N card. I was thinking about the Pre-N card because I want to get a laptop, although I don't have the money for one right now. That way I could use it for both? Also how's the connection on the regular G cards? will it drop a lot etc. I'm using a wired network at home that used to be wireless but I just decided to wire the house for it due to speeds and security. Thanks for the help.

Go with the Belkin wireless G plus. Good card.

I have D-Link and Belkin wireless cards (both PCI and PCMCIA) using a Linksys router. No compatibility problems whatsoever. All works well together.
