KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Pittsburgh Penguins could play rent-free and be equal managing partners in the new Sprint Center if they move to Kansas City, under an offer unveiled Thursday by the arena's operating group.
Tim Leiweke, president of Anschutz Entertainment Group, said the Penguins would not have to buy into the management agreement. The $276 million Sprint Center is scheduled to open in October.

Bring another team back to Canada!! Go Kitchener Penguins! These places like Vegas and KC and the like don't need, nor will they support a team in the long term. Winnipeg is crying for a team back.. why not?

Remember as long as Gary is in charge no more Canadian teams.

You are right Dom.. I keep forgetting that. Sad, but seems true. Yes, let's put a team in a tourist city like Vegas, and forget a hockey crazed city in the sports home land like Winnipeg. :( I mean heck, look how well the Kansas City Royals are doing in Americas pastime :) Come on, they need Hockey. :(

:) Isn't it just crazy? Florida doesn't need a team, nor supports it.. Same as Nashville, Atlanta, Tampa Bay Phoenix etc... and yet they are thinking Vegas or KC. When Winnipeg is crying for a team back that would have been fine given the cap anyway.. or Quebec, or dare I say Hamilton and Kitchener. They really have no bloody clue.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will probably stay were they are , I would think that the city will make an offer before it's to late.
