Just thought I would point out that if you choose to download a distro's 64-bit version, the first disappointment you're going to get is that Adobe does not yet have a 64-bit flash player plugin. The work around is to install a 32-bit version of your browser (ie; Firefox, etc.) and then use their version 9 flash player.

While not having flash is the end of the world (TCM appears fine to me), there are a lot of websites that appear broken or are simply inaccessible as they use flash or in some cases Java-script (there is no 64-bit Java plugin either) for things like their menus.

Just thought I would mention the above for those who watch these threads and are thinking about making the jump. The solution for now if the aforementioned is important is to download i386 architectures. I can't speak for all distributions, but suffice to say I know Fedora has both 32-bit and 64-bit available.

As an addendum, I use the Fedora 64-bit distro. If I *really* net to view a site that uses flashy bits, I'll boot back into Windows (being dual-boot does have advantages).

.

For those who are interested, another workaround can be seen on this thread.

I've tried it and it works well enough.
