Yeah, I was just looking for quick answers, so I posted in both. The treat bag idea sounds pretty good.

Greenies dog treats. Dogs love them, and they clean their teeth and freshen their breath. Most dogs seem to love Kong brand toys, you can stuff a treat in the centre and dogs have a great time trying to get the treat out.

Clothing would depend on the size and type of dog.

Maybe a winter coat for a little guy with short fur??

Depending how much you want to spend and the dog, look into obedience/agility classes. Some places have gift certificates and trial package. These classes can be fun for dogs and their owners.

Doggie booties for the winter time. Snow and ice can be very hard on the pads of their feet. Any pet store should carry them or be able to order them.

How about something like a dog bed, or one of those big pillows they call beds.

Rawhide chews, bones, balls, any kind of toy.

Check out Petsmart (http://petsmart.com) for all kinds of ideas.

If it's for the dog lover and not just the dog then a dog book or DVD is good.

Whatever you get me I'm sure I'll like it !

Dog clothing seems pretty popular these days or if it's an athletic dog a new soft frisbee would be good.
