Enable Aero Interface in Vista Home Basic
1. Proceed to Command Prompt to Disable DWM service
net stop uxsms
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type Regedit, and then click OK.
4. Proceed to registry key:
HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Windows/DWM/
- Change Composition key from 0 to 1
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM\Composition set to 1 (32-bit DWORD)
- Change CompositionPolicy
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM\CompositionPol icy set to 2 (32-bit DWORD)
4. Now proceed to Command prompt to restart DWM service. Right click Command Prompt and Run as Administrator:
net start uxsms
