Umm I'm not sure I follow? NAT hides your computers internal IP from the internet. What are you trying to remember exactly? Is it something specific to linksys routers?

most routers block the basic stuff and still let others bee seen like the internal ip.
with the linsky you can put in firewall scripts to increase the firewall protection.
problem is i can't remeber how to do this one...lol

I'm still not clear on what your talking about. How do they still let others see the internal IP, and even if they do what does it matter, when your using a non routeable range like 192.168.1.x I don't see what it matters if they can see that. Or am I not getting what you are saying? Where do you run the script? On the router? I've never heard of doing that.

ahhh
since linsky routers are basicly little computers running linux you can mod the firmware to include new features.
a example being telling a router to drop unresponsive connections after 20 min instead of trying them for 5 days which is the default in most routers.
(problem with bittorrents or any such type of program)
being that routers have to walk the line between security and easy of use they tend to be less then perfect as firewalls.
since i can add iptables to the firewall to prevent stuff and fix and inperfections i want too...lol.
its always best that people can't see you since they can't attack your computer if they don't know its there.
