i purchased an eligible copy of vista ultimate upgrade, they had a sale at bestbuy for $200, I figured hey $100 off, plus this additional $50
I sent in the rebate last week, beforehand, I called the number they provide on that web site and after 4 attempt and 4 different people telling me they didnt know what I was talking about, but if I called such and such number, they would. I was told that the card they mentioned in the requirements is the card included with vista that has info on how to order vista cd's
Now i receive an email from microsoft saying to be eligible for this offer, I need to also include the original coupon that I would have received from the icehouse tradeshow
Could anyone please look at the web page and tell me where it mentions anything about a tradeshow? because I sure cant find it
be warned this offer may not be what it appears, and although I still got a great deal on my copy of vista, I still feel a bit ripped off by this offer

i dont suppose anyone has any suggestions, i got an email back and they said that I needed a card from an icehouse tradeshow, even though when I had called up to make sure the card they wanted was the one inside vista, they said yes thats the card
this feels like false advertising, right at the top of there site it mentions that you can save $50 on the purchase of vista or office, no where does it mention needed a card from a houseshow, the nearest to it is just "the card"
complain to the bbb, as complaints add up and become cited by other sources ms will have to backtrack and right those wrongs in order to maintain a friendly helpful corporate image- it's a free service and sometimes works
