I couldn't find anything on google but didn't their lead singer pass away some time ago? :rrg:

he had that unique nasal vocal style which was their signature at the time.

They were an awesome band. Caught them live a few times many moons ago.

Both Tony Flame and Hock Walsh have passed on. As has Jane Vasey. :(

No flies on these guys. They're touring Costa Rica January and February. ;)

Gawd I must be getting old

I went on that very website on your first link and totally missed that lol.

I'm a purist, so, unless the original members are performing, it's not the same band and I wouldn't pay to see a regurgitated version of the original.

That's just me though.

I shared the stage out of town a few occasions. Great band. There's a lot of them so really without the singer, it'd still be a fine band to see in any case.

Downchild has always been Donnie Walsh's band.

As long as Walsh has hands on, an evening with Downchild would be a treat.

What has changed is the gate price. Used to be you could hear the band for the price of a quart of beer. Now it's $35. :)

If you're going Marsher - have a great evening.

Used to see them at the Black Hawk Motor Inn in Richmond Hill but that was many, many moons ago.
