Their seems to be a problem that is very common with the latest 77.72 Nvidia drivers with the Video display of movies, Appearing washed out colours or other display problems. The fix for this is simple:
1a. Right click on the 'nVidia Settings' Icon in your taskbar near your clock (Asuming you have it their otherwise read steps 1b-6b Below)
2a. Click on 'Color Correction'
3a. A Window will open up, Their should be some text near the beginning of all that that says 'Apply color changes to:' Below that their should be a dropdown box that will read either: 'Desktop', 'Overlay', or 'All'. Select 'All'
4a. Make sure color profile is selected as Standard mode, and the settings to the right read like this from top to bottom:
Off, 100%, 100%, 1.00, And this slider should be all the way to the left.
5a. Hit apply and now try a video and it should be fine.
--Now for the people who dont have that icon their for some reason--
To get to the 'Color Correction'
1b.Just right click on your desktop and goto Properties (make sure your not selecting an icon)
2b. Goto the Settings Tab
3b. Press Advanced
4b. Goto the tab that should read the name of your videocard (Geforce FX 5500 in my case)
5b. Once your their a little box should slide out and expand the list on your videocard's name (click the +)
6b. Select 'Color Correction' Now continue from Step 3a
This is a known issue with these drivers and hopefully will be fixed in the next release. (And I'm not sure if this is the correct place in the forums to post this, if not just move it)
