When I heard about Les's video card I just shook my head. Bill Gates will not be getting any thing from me on Vista. I will get along just fine with XP 98 and Xandros

I think they are pressuring people too much to buy into it. They have the Global previews, of the shows on next now "Powered By Vista". I don't want to see advertisements about my operating system on my TV thank you. Not to mention you cant buy a computer today without Vista on it. Microsoft want everyone to switch, so they don't have to support XP any longer than they have to.

Oh, you know this is not true.

Visit your local Apple store for another choice.

New pcs from the big manufacturers always have the latest OS installed, nothing new there. :)

When $400 video cards aren't 'good enough' to run with Vista... that's the time to run away!! :tcu:

New pcs from the big manufacturers always have the latest OS installed, nothing new there. :)
Yet another reason to get a custom built PC at a local store... and run whatever OS on it you want :)

It works but the TV tuner is picky. The TV hardly works in XP Media center, it takes a bit of screwing around to make it show up, and theres no fix out for Vista yet. Besides when I did run it on my desktop, I only got like a 2.6 compatibility rating (with my Sempron 3400 and my 512 of ram).

I read somewhere that AMD is dropping support for All in wonder cards. Is this really Microsoft's fault or AMD?

It's a conspiracy... they're all in bed together :akq:

The Dual boot works well but I installed each on it's own 320 gig , and a raptor 150 for files and another 320 for my videos and such.
Runs well but I miss my Tuner.

Yes you can, I ran two XP home editions (one English & one German) off two different HD's.

I knew AMD would screw up ATI.

Everything is done the same as installing on a single drive... you just pick the first partition on the second drive to install it on.

As always, oldest OS first
