Hi everyone,

This is the 2nd time I've tried to burn a music cd using nero and it gets to 99% then gives me an error "illegal block size for command"
"could not perform end of Disc-at-once"
"Burn process failed at 4x"

I'm using an LG burner and burning at the lowest allowed speed....4x.

Please help me fix this problem and avoid wasting my media.

I'm using an OEM version of Nero that I got from a friend...I have to do everything through smartstart.

Thanks

btw, running win98se...128mb ram.

is nero updated?

what type of media are you useing?

either one of these can be the issues.

I'm using a brand called empire that I picked up awhile ago in a spindle.

I'm not so sure if this version can be updated.

you should be able to update it without a problem.

and theres a good chance that your media is not so good.

(are you leaveing about 3 min empty so theres room to burn the lead in and lead out?)

actually, no I think that might contribute to the problem.....I'm leaving about 5sec left on an 80 min cd....hehe....will try leaving some room.

woohoo.....thanks smirnoff....I did both, update the software and cut back on a song or two and it worked fine.

Thanks:)
