Hi all,

Just watched one of those entertainment shows and heard Rambo 4, Rocky 6 and Die Hard 4 are all in the works.....with the original lead actors.

I'm actually pretty excited.

this has been known for a while, weve had a few posts about these movies a while back but still good news.

I have the rocky collection and like all 5 flicks. Cant wait for part 6.

rambo 1 and 2 are amazing but three was a let down, until the end anyway. And again im dyign for part 4 .

As for die hard 4 i want to see bruce willis back in action kicking ass and bleeding all over the place.

I have this to say.

They will suck. Stallone is only doing them because he needs the money. I have no idea why Bruce Willis would even consider doing another DH, he doesn't need the money, and if he's not in it then why bother.

Just my opinion.

Rocky 6 Hmmmm, Rocky takes on an orderly at the nursing home??

"Adrian, where's my bib"

Personally I think they should just leave them where they left off. Its just a money grab hoping that they will draw in big crowds at the box office.

Just my personal opinion.:rrg:

Rumor has it that it will be called Die Hard 4.0 so he might fight a super evil computer or some garbage like that. Studios are too lazy to come up with new material so making sequels/prequels/remakes is all they think about these days. How sad.

Rambo 4!?? Rocky 6!??? Come on Stallone!! Haven't you got anything else better to do with your post-action hero years??
Take a cue from Bono and use your fame to raise money to fight poverty or some disease.
AIDS.... cancer... global warming... The list is endless Sly. Take your pick.

Die Hard 4???
Ugh... I can feel my stomach churning already.
There have been so many Die Hard rip-offs (Passenger 57, Air Force One, Under Siege, XXX, and 10,000 other "Die Hard on a __________ [insert your location here]" movies ), that I think this Action Movie formula should be retired (or at least put on the shelf for, say, 30 or 40 years...)

How sad. There's a scene in a Simpons episode where a bunch of Reality TV producers desperately need to pump up ratings for their show. So what do they do??

They all grab tiny TVs and flip through the channels, looking for ideas they can steal from existing programs...

The comedy of this brief scene works so well because it's so true to life.

Very sad indeed.

Rambo 4 and Rocky 6 have been up in the air for years, literally.

I remember reading one time, Stallone said he had a great idea for Rambo 4, that Rambo would go to Afghanistan, and even find *gasp* Osama :D

that one probably won't get played out, but who knows what Hollywood has in store for us.

Hollywood is in a hiatus of creativity. Remakes of old movies, and sequels, seem to be the limit of their thinking capabilities. Same old, same old ... as the saying goes.

Get a grip, movie-makers ... Stallone, Willis, and the rest of the "old" boys, aren't kids anymore, don't belong in "what should be" younger rolls, and makeup only goes so far.

Great actors, but if they must act, place them in something more suited for their age. Don't know about you other "aging" TCMers, but if I tried to do now, what I did in my 20s/30s, call an ambulance quick! Reality check time!

Stallone should do more serious stuff like Copland and retire from major action movies. Bruce Willis isn't as old so he can still be in that genre without looking out of place.

I think he has one more flick in him , sure he shoudl have done more copland type stuff but we dont have enough real action stars. No action movies are as good as they used to be.

Bruce is 50 - pushing the envelope for wild action movies. I love him as an actor, he's great, but I've never been one for the wild action movies. Nothing left to the imagination - just "wow" special effects, lots of noise, and little real plot and acting.

Go for it Stallone. You'll have a fatwa on your a$$ faster than you can say "Salman Rushdie".

I find it difficult to figure out what Rocky 6 would be about....I loved them all...but it's tough to think of where to take the story...he's suffered brain damage....and retired....now what?

As for Die Hard....I liked the 2nd one....third was pretty much a disappointment.

Now where's those Jim Carrey Sequals I'm waiting for....

Rocky has a son right? perhaps the story would have his son getting into the biz and Rocky would manage him, who knows =\

It would be cool if rocky were training someone and ended up in the ring and getting killed kind of like apollo, having the younger guy take over.

Who knows... Maybe a mix of genres.

I can see a Rocky-Sci Fi hybrid. "The Clone of Rocky" perhaps.
