View Full Version : If you winder why Microsoft Rock?
:yhp: Try to make one of the many Linux out there to work, if you are common Joe like me, who surf the net, check his email, nothing fancy. Couldn’t be simpler than this, but not one of the Linux I tried (Ubuntu, Fedora core6, & open suse 10.2) .The most descent one is opensuse 10.2 still no driver for video card and no support for wireless ,any content that use WMP or Mplayer could not be display.
So, thanks to Gates, thank to pc village for the OEM price $144.00 plus tax for vista home premium, ET voila no hassle, no wasted time and anytime something is free and with too many hand contributing to it, you know for sure that it won’t work. Nobody has an incentive to make work.

Where this diatribe comes from is a mystery to me. Many of us have tried to be of assitance, but when we pose questions, you fail to answer. Speaking for myself, on two occasions you posted a question. Regarding your "Evolution" post, you did not specify anything beyond "no where it asks for password". A question like that on a Outlook Forum will draw some dark looks. Nonetheless, I made a calculated guess as to what you were looking for and answered accordingly.
On your "Easy Linux for Newby" post you got some sound suggestions as in trying Ubuntu or one of it's variants and again a specific answer to a non-specific question. You asked about plugins for Firefox without telling us which plugin you were having trouble with. I guessed at it based on past experience, but again you were quiet when asked whether you had a 32bit or 64bit install.
No one told you Linux was a one click solution. There is no denying that it requires a bit more effort on the user's part. For some of us, that is part of the adventure. From what I read (or rather what can not be read), you don't actually want help or even want to learn. When you're ready, Linux will still be there and it's users will still try to help you.
Be that as it may, I wish you luck with your Windows installation.

Well said.
I myself learned a lot jumping through the hoops installing debian sarge.
I found kubuntu a real breeze to install.
maybe you will try linux again in the future.

I was trying very hard not to flame the individual (Zack), despite the unclear diction. Perhaps that is best left alone.

I wasn't trying to either just maybe that is why he is not replying to posts? I went through all of his posts and they are all questions that are semi hard to make out.

I think this is the biggest problem. You are just a general user. and those types of users prefer to have things work for them, without much guidance or effort at all.
windows or mac would likely be your best bet.
good luck

True enough.
I am also one of those users, but those terms are just mildly interesting to me.
I sure don't need the additional aggravation of trying to use a hammer to kill an ant.

Fair enough. His other posts appear just as ambiguous as those under Linux. I also concur with DazedandConfused's assessment of Zack's mindset.
