How do I get it to monitor Spyware Doctor?
I don't want to use Defender as it's crap.
Any ideas?
I have the full version of SD running.

Xp's security center was able to monitor 3rd party apps so am I to assume that MS doesn't want it to monitor 3rd party anti-spyware apps & just Defender??

My Vista security centre monitors NOD32 just fine.
But why don't you want to use Defender, it's Giant Anti-Spyware which was really good.

Because defender is crap, IMO and has been ever since they took over Giant.
I use Spyware Doctor which is better.

That one isn't supported yet for Vista x64.
I am currently using version 4.

IC x64. I presume that you are using IE? I use FF and have no need of defender.

I use FF2. I have tried their 64bit version but my addons are not compatible with it.
I actually tried it long ago with xp x64.
As soon as I stop the defender service, my security center pops up & tells me. What I would like is for it to monitor SD as it is realtime & running. It detects NOD32 just fine.
Ok, I went through the options it offers & selected my own anti-spyware to monitor. It then tells me it can monitor for me which I click monitor now. It then tells me defender is not running????
For some stupid reason, it just does not see SD.

It seems that SD is it's major competitor, doubt you'll get monitoring very fast.

That wouldn't be a very smart move then. That's like MS is saying defender is the only good app to use. Everyone knows you can't use just one anti-malware program and Defender by itself does not cut it.
I had used Giant before being bought & it was good.
But since MS took it over, it went down hill fast, imo.

Could be a glitch. I recall Giant before MS and tried defender at the transition. SD should have an answer in all fairness.

I would contact SD. Security centre automatically monitors Spy Sweeper just fine so I'm guessing it's an issue with SD.
