You know that window that appears when you pop a CD/DVD into your drive and Windows trys to associate a program depending on the contents of the disc (i.e. a dvd player, a picture program, media player etc.), I've clicked the little box on the bottom of this window that automatically launches a program when that specific disk is inserted. How can I reset this so that I can choose a different program to open up when I pop the cd in?
Thanks

Download Autofix from Microsoft here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c680a7b6-e8fa-45c4-a171-1b389cfacdad&displaylang=en).

Hi Exmortis,
Thanks for the quick reply. I read the overview for the auto play fix but I am not sure if this will solve my problem. As I understand from the overview the fix will look for defective autoplay settings and then try to fix it. I really don't have a defect, I just want Windows to associate another program with the cd.
I will try it anyways when I get home.
Thanks again for the quick response

Woah... Sorry there. I just read the title of your post and assumed.
Anyhoo, in Windows Explorer, right-click on your drive, select "Properties" and then the "Autoplay" tab. You should be able to figure out the rest. :)
