View Full Version : Sound Issue

Me again with another problem that I briefly mentioned in another thread:

When I try to play a game (like WoW) with music going as I like to do (I turn the in game sound off) I get really distorted sound. It slows right down, gets choppy and laggy, it's totally unlistenable as soon as I open the game.

If I alt + tab out, the sound goes back to normal, but if I bring the game back up, the sound goes to crap again.

I have a SB Audigy 2ZS and the only drivers Creative seems to have on their site for that card and Vista are beta drivers. I've heard of sound problems in Vista, but not anything like mine.

I guess my question is if anyone knows anything about this or how to fix it. Also, if there are possibly third party sound drivers I could try out. I know there are third party video drivers but have never seen sound ones.

Thanks.

Could this be an IRQ conflict??

I think there is a MS tool to check for this problem.

Sadly this is a issue thats been reported all over with the beta drivers.

Ms new vista format is causing issues and still isn't quite finshed yet, which is why iam waiting tell the service pack before i even think about it.

Its hardly just a creative problem either as all one needs to is look at ati and nvidia.

Vista got pushed out just too fast.

Try here they deal with alot of hacked drivers like yourpax.

Athlon, this is a known issue with Vista and games and there is no fix whatsoever. You just have to wait or do a dual-boot.

Thats why I am waiting until Spring/Summer to install Vista.
