Listings and subscribed memberships may be a consideration but more research would be required.

Memberships are all fine and good, but accreditation is what you are after.

...accreditation is what you are after.
...and the reputation of the school as well.
Get a list of previous grads and talk to them. Most reputable schools won't have a problem providing you with this - and there's always the internet :)

Exactly right. Memberships aren't hard to get, and neither is a "listing". Look for awards, recognitions, accreditations, etc.
Take a course that you will enjoy doing for the rest of your life. PERIOD!

With respect to accreditation :
Many people with accreditation certs or even advanced degrees are only good at learning and regurgitating wrote knowledge, and have no ability to apply what they know.
the Bottom line Real life Experience what it Count in this real world not just a Piece of Paper !

Bottom Line:
In the REAL world try becomming a doctor, engineer, nurse, accountant, dentist etc. etc etc without a degree or diploma from an accredited institution.
Waste of time and money.

If you know what you want, get the apropriate papers for that position. You can't even be a Future Shop tech guy unless you have A++ Cert. doesn't matter what you know. Don't have that paper, no job for you. Period.
