I have a small form I want to include in my website. Three text fields and one comment box. PHP preferred with validation. Does anyone have a link to a simple to use and understand 'php form generator'
Thanks
Bob
clickhost has one, http://www.clickhost.net/formgen.php
I don't know it's clickhost specific, but you could give it a try.

Hi Tim
Thanks for the reply. I found this 'php generator' last night, but couldn't get it working.
I have another site which I use from time to time. www.apptools.com (http://www.apptools.com) The authour is very knowledgeable in PHP but I still have a hard time wrapping my head around it. I'm following the tutorial on this site and have managed to get a small form working, but everytime I try and add another text field, the bloody thing quits working. I imagine if I stick with it I'll probably get it, but in the mean time I hope I don't go crazy.
Thanks again
Bob
if that's the case then you are missing on a concept, adding fields to a simple html form that uses a php mailer should be very simple. (unless you're using dreamhost in which case change your host!!!)
post your code.

Hi Tim
I just got back from a family thing--sometimes I just have to get away from the computer. I've just sat down once again and I'm experimenting with the form--I've made progress, at least I can get it to mail now. My next step is validation. I use DW8 so I think I'm using the best--at least I think so ;-)) I'm going to keep working on it and hopefully figure it out myself, however should I hit a wall, I'll be happy to post the code. I'm determined to not let this beat me--we'll see. Thanks again for the offer to help.

Hi Tim
I have to be honest--I just couldn't get this form to work properly. I then began a search for a decent PHP form generator and I stumbled upon a beauty--hey why re-invent the wheel :) I downloaded it and within minutes I was building decent PHP forms that work--unbelievable! Now on to my next project!
Thanks again
Bob
that's cool. The one you had was not bad, it just had a really bad syntax error. Better to wrap your head around that basic one, it'll make debugging in future a whole lot easier in the long run.
