I am a AMD Guy for years BUT . I am seeing guys on this forum going INTEL is it just for the O/cing or the extra coin for INTEL getting better performance over all ?
Tom's Hardware did not help me decide , I'd rather hear from gamers.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86 GHz (1066MHz) 2MB L2 Cache Socket 775 Processor
$230
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Dual Core Socket AM2 Windsor 2.4GHZ 2000FSB 2X512KB 90NM Retail Box
$150
Both Mobo's I looked at are around $150
Corsair XMS 2 TWIN2X1024-6400C4 Matched Pairs 1GB kit (2x512MB) PC6400 DDR2-800 CL 4-4-4-12 240-pin Dual Channel Memory
$150
Is it worth almost a $100 extra to go INTEL ?

right now, yes. prices are set to drop very soon on Core2 chips. so wait it out.

E4300 and E6300 are supposedly great CPUs("bang for buck") as they can be OC'ed quite a bit using stock air cooling too. Very efficient low temperatures is what is great about them(Core2's in general).

A little birdie told me to wait for april 22.... :) I'll prolly go quad and have my e6600 up for sale if anyone's interested.

Thanx for the advice guys I just could not bring myself to leave
AMD this upgrade , I'll prolly be kicking my a$$ after seeing the 6400 come down under $250 . But right now this thing is a rocket I had a huge powerpoint presentation load in about 5 seconds used to take 30 with my old system and my games run smooth as Kyle Wellwood's stickhandling .

Son just put together his new system with the E6600 cpu and a huge heatsink and fan. OC it runs at 3.4 right now and 34C under 100% load.
