New to Rogers Yahoo! ... Can't download from download.com

Hi All!

Just got Rogers Yahoo! high speed internet.

I like it a lot so far but I am wondering if there is a setting somewhere that prevents me from downloading software on download.com?

I get a window that pops up but it pops up with the page not found error and the download does not start.

Can someone give me some input into this problem?

P.S. Have also just noticed that on the home page of TCM I don't get the new posts displayed. It is just a blank space in the middle of the page where it is supposed to be?

I don't know much about security settings but I have a feeling that is where my problem is.

I just checked and I can D/L from there just fine.

So, what browser are you using, and are you using the default of custom security settings?

I use www.downloads.com a lot , no problems here and lots of great freeware there:)

Yeah I get the same.
It's a combination of cookies and theme.
That stinking ambience theme is the default theme.
So if you don't have a tcm cookie that's what you get.
Problem is ambience theme gives you no threads found.

Try changing theme to legacy.
See what happens.

I had that same problem when I had Rogers, turns out it was Zone Alarm blocking the site for some reason

Uninstalling Zone Alarm solved it.

Well if it is Zone Alarm blocking it for one reason or another, all that would need to be done is configuring it to allow D/L from there... shouldn't need to remove it.

Nope. Zone Alarm was blocking it for some reason...... only way around that problem was to remove it
