I've actually been waiting a while for this one. Any idea if wireless is native?

As far as I know it is, or they have improved wireless drivers.

Has anyone else tried the Beryl 3-D desktop in Feisty Fawn yet?

An acquaintance of mine uses it. I don't install Compiz or Beryl on my Ubuntu box as its only a P3. They work fine (mostly) on my Fedora box. Do you have a Fiesty question or a Beryl question.

Neither, I just wanted to show off the Beryl eye candy that comes with the new Ubuntu. :)

I've been meaning to give Linux a try for the last 5 years. :) I'm presuming that Ubuntu can easily be set up to dual boot? What is driver support like for a Dell Inspiron 6400? I'd consider myself to be a fairly competent amateur when it comes to all things computer related, so I'm not worried about having to work a little bit to get things going. Just not sure where to start.
Should I go w/ Ubuntu to go with the GNOME desktop, or Kubuntu to get KDE? Or, should I go with Fedora?
Sorry for the questions. :)

No need to be sorry. No Linux distro is perfect and many specialize in various areas. To Ubuntu or Kubuntu is purely preference. There is nothing to stop you from using either desktop or both for that matter. You could download Ubuntu and add the KDE desktop afterwards or XFCE (it doesn't stop there). Generally, KDE is easier and a little more like "Windoze". It amounts to personal preference.
Fedora is strictly "Free" software (as in unencumbered). In other words, you have to put in slighty more of your time to get things like DVD movies and mp3's to play (the rational behind this is another thread). I happen to like Fedora and the way they operate, but each to their own. Fedora's support forums are solid and helpful, but my word of advice is that unless you like to tinker, do not get every update that happens, as Fedora is more like bleeding edge than Ubuntu. I should also mention that Fedora uses the same desktop options as Ubuntu since the install lets you choose any or all of the aforementioned (Gnome is the default).
Some points to ponder...
1. Syncing your Palm with Kontact under Fedora is a headache (unsupported)
2. Getting My Hauppage PVR350 to work was NOT easy. (I still have troubles)
3. Beryl desktop is pretty, but updates frequently break it (its beta after all).
4. Lots of 64bit support, but not very good for Flash (either distro)
5. Fedora typically seems to have better Nvidia support (purely anecdotal).
I probably generated more questions than I have answered. ;)

Well, I have Ubuntu about 80% downloaded, so hopefully i can give it a try this week sometime. I have no delusions of becoming a Linux guru, but I'd like to expand my horizons a little. Thanks for the input. I'm sure I'll have many more questions as I go. :)

I personally like the KDE desktop.
