Vista Premium on my new Acer laptop.

I had Hibernate working great before where I could close the lid of the laptop and it would work perfect.

However now If I close the lid OR even go to start>Hibernate the screen will go black for a bit then it wil come back on 5sec later as if I just Logged off or locked the computer But it does not Hibernate. I have gone through all the settings and so on but I cant seem to figure it out.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Have you updated any device drivers on your laptop since it last hibernated properly??? In many instances, drivers can be the root cause of standby/hibernate instabilities due to bugs in their power management control for the device. Symptoms could be anything from a device not activating out of standby/hibernate, to refusing the computer to resume a hibernate or sleep/standby state simply because the driver cannot turn the device off.
