This should be a great series :)
Really looking forward to it!
Will watch it for sure - best series in several years.
Almost wish this was the final (unfortunately can't happen).
Cheers

Very true.
Two good teams, but only one will advance.
And the opposition???
Blech.

Even Brodeur predicts a Sens victory :)....
...Brodeur and Emery met in the line after the Senators eliminated the Devils with a 3-2 victory.
"I said congratulations and told him the last guy to beat me (Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward) went on to win the Stanley Cup, so good luck," said Brodeur....

This will be a great series. These two teams always play well against each other. Either high scoring or low scoring :).
I ain't a sens fan, by any means, but I would like to see the cup back in Canada. where it belongs

I'm rooting for the Senators. If they win, this will put more pressure on the monkeys they call Leafs management.
Apart from that, it's going to be an awesome series.

Wish I cared.. this has honestly been the first season as long as I can remember where every game bored the heck out of me.. post lock-out, the game blows. Can't watch. Hockey is dead.

LOL no.. Honestly though, all the penalties, constant powerplays and silly touch the guy hooking and tripping calls. I really couldn't watch this season, nor the playoffs. I was die hard man.. a die hard NHL fan. But yawn. With the teams left, my choice is Buffalo.. but I really couldn't care less.. and to anyone that knows me, that is saying something. :)

You are cheering for Buffalo but you do not like the new rules that were designed to help small faster skating teams like Buffalo?
You sound like a jealous and disappointed Leaf fan to me.
Personally, I think the Sens will send the Sabres packing for golf in five games. A disappointment for those expecting a long exciting series but for us Sens fans, it is just another speed bump on the way to bringing the cup back to the Ottawa valley on the 80th anniversary of the last Senators cup win (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1926-27_NHL_season).

One step at a time. You just reminded me why i hate the Sen fans.
I'm rooting for the Senators too, but predicting a victory already? Way to summon the karma gods.

Geez.. why can't I say I now dislike the sport I have followed with gusto for as long as I can remember because of the rule changes, without being called jealous? I am a Leafs fan yes.. always will be.. but my disdain for the NHL has nothing to do with the Laffs.. ;) I couldn't watch their games at all this year either.. just boring boring hockey.. every team. Hooking call, holding call.. tripping all over the place. Non stop penalties and 5 on 3's.. the shootout.. please. As I said, I don't care who wins the cup.. Go Ottawa if that makes you happy.. :)

I am neither a Hindu or a Budhist but I think that you are getting karma mixed up with superstition. We are each responsible for our own Karma. Therefore, I can have no effect on the Karma of the Ottawa Senators by predicting their victory in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Karma is about positive thinking. If you think good thoughts, good things will happen to you. If you think bad thoughts, bad things will happen to you. My thinking good thoughts about the Ottawa Senators can have no more of a negative effect on the Senators chances of winning the Cup anymore then my thinking negative thoughts about the Leafs could affect their last forty years of failure.
Also note that I said "I think that they will win", not "I know they will win". I simply looked at the data available to me (regular season and play offs to date) and made an educated guess of what I believe will happen but I assure you that I am not claiming to be clairvoyant.
I hope this answer will appease your Karma Gods.

I do not expect you to make me happy and there is nothing I wrote that deserves such a patronizing response.
It does not bother me who you root for and it is not that I have anything against what you said about the rule changes. There is a lot about the new rules I also do not like. But I would still enjoy watching playoff hockey even if my team was not in the fight. I simply said that I could not understand how you could complain about the rule changes and yet say that you want the Sabres (who are the one team that has benefited the most from the rule changes) to win.
So rather then risk being misunderstood again, let me ask you a direct question, would you still be this disinterested in the playoffs if the Leafs were competing for a spot in the Stanley Cup final?
Go West Go .. lol
Where do you want the West to go?

Buffalo will need to bring their A game, to avoid going 2 down and going to Ottawa for 2.

That's 2 - zip for Ottawa. It would be a major feat to take down Buffalo in 4 games that's for sure.
I don't think anybody would be able to stop 'em after that.

Winning 2 in Barffalo...
That is not a nice thing to call the "Queen City". Right now Buffalo sports fans (if not all members of the Sabres Nation) are very sad and need a good hug.
I think I will start with the Buffalo Jills...

Was thinking that too :) But it was a good game. Boy, Emery is sure making me a believer. I will admit that the last couple O/B and A/D games have been good.. got me interested again.. mainly because they have put the whistle down.

Sure he has a supporting cast just as good as him, but he's playing dandy that's for sure.

Here's a good piece relating to the above...
Thank you NHL for ruining Saturday night.
Sabbath's eve is meant for hockey, that much we agree upon.
But thanks to the NHL's constant kowtowing to NBC we -- especially west of the Centre of the Universe -- are stuck with these absurd afternoon games out east that become early clashes here.
The CBC shells out big money to the league (too much money for a company that receives our tax dollars to stay afloat but that's another rant for another day) and deserves to receive its just desserts of first choice when the puck drops on weekend games. That would mean games starting at 5 p.m. Calgary time on Saturday nights.
Instead, the NHL lets NBC -- which doesn't have to pay out a single greenback -- pick game times.
Constantly turning a blind eye to the true fans and true supporters is shortsighted and foolish.
