Since the last update for the junkmail filters of windows mail, it now uses 100% cpu while open. Is there any way to remove that update without doing a system restore?

Check your ADD-REMOVE PROGRAMS in Control Panel. Most updates will show up there. Windows updates near the end of the list.

Ok, doesn't seem to be that junkmail filter update as it's still doing it.
Unless of course, it needs a reboot.

Yeah Microsoft knows about it and has a fix:
FIX:
When you run Windows Update to scan for updates that use Windows Installer, including Office updates, CPU utilization may reach 100 percent for prolonged periods

This Microsoft article also shows more problems, same fix:

The cpu doesn`t max out when I use windows update. It does it when I use windows mail.
