I have a set of Levolor horizontal metal blinds in my front foyer. However, it's impossible to adjust the tilt of them without the use of a ladder. It sounds silly but I'd like to get a tilt wand about 10' - 12' in length. Anyone know where I might be able to find that?

We have tilt blinds in our house. When we bought it the previous owner left us an adjustable broom stick kind of looking deal with a home made hook taped to it.

Looking at it closer I think it's a telescopic paint handle that's about 6 foot long and can be extended to about 10 ft.

Something like this http://paint-and-supplies.hardwarestore.com/47-345-extension-poles.aspx

Something like this http://paint-and-supplies.hardwarest...ion-poles.aspx I have one of those poles but the issue is that the hook would have to be so small that it be impossible to even see the loop that it's supposed to hook into, nevermind the actual process itself.

try this, get a long dowel from home depot or rona. Take the last inch and file it flat on both sides. Drill a small hole and than paint to suit. That should work.

the wooden dowel idea works great, that,s what I did cause I didn,t like the plastic wands that came with the blinds

My thinking is you would need a thicker piece of wood to work with, to achieve the same strength as Ken's idea.

Personal preference, I guess??
