Nice write-offs. Hope they all had full coverage insuance.
I heard a cute quip on the radio this morning from Cam Wooley of the OPP.
'What people forgot is that, unless it's a boat, it won't float"

I have seen him on the nightly news a few times and he always seem to have a timely quote

It probably wasn't all that deep when they were trying to drive through the area... and it just kept getting deeper ;)
Time to get out the jetski :d

Here's a question:
If someone willingly attempts to drive through a flooded street like that, rather than turn around and find another route, could an insurer deny coverage due to negligence on the driver's part??

Insurer would have to prove negligence, and witness to the fact. I am sure a few people got the replacement car they've wanted.

I always thought it was the other way around Bogie. That is, you make a claim, the insurer deems you were negligent and denies your claim, and it's up to the driver to prove he was not negligent. The driver then has to fight like hell to prove his case.
It always seemed to me that insurance companies operate on the premise of "guilty until proven innocent".
