Either Anaheim or Detroit (btw, which bonehead in the NHL front office made the decision that Detroit is a "western team"? - last time I checked, Detroit was very much in the east :ntb: )

Anyway, here's the question....

Which team would you like to see face the Senators for the cup. Detroit or Anaheim?

I'd like to see Detroit :)

Detroit.

Easier travel for our, now, beloved Senators.

(God, just typing that make me gag somewhat.)

;)

lol...

Just think of them as our beloved CANADIAN team. Might lessen the "gag" factor :d

It was the political connotations that was causing me some grief.

Well I'm seeing this as a big picture...I'm not a Sens fan but I hope they win. If they win, not only do they bring the cup to Canada, the Leafs management will definitely feel the pressure to move their team forward and make necessary changes.
I mean from what I've heard they want to keep the team the same...wtf is this? There is no way the current Leafs can take on teams like the Ottawa S/Anaheim D /Buffalo S.

I don't care if the Sens are Canadian or not, I will NEVER cheer for the provincial rival. As for the cup coming back to Canada? well as long as the HHOF is at Front & Yonge imo the cup is in Canada 300 days a year so the Sens do not have to do me any favours by winning it :d

Yeah, I don't get the whole "You have to cheer for them because they're Canadian." Leafs management feel pressure? Don't make me laugh. They could start a team of trained chimps and you'd still sell out every game.

Wouldn't a Senators/Anaheim series be awful? The west coast start times are bad enough when it's a team I care for.

Ottawa/Detroit is as close as we are going to get to the original six.

Let it be so.
