I just upgraded to 4 GIG of Corsair DDR2..
So I loaded Vista Ultimate 64 Bit, are there any special drivers I need to load to use 64 Bit effectively...

If Vista x64 installed without any problems then it means all your hardware was detected and the proper drivers were installed.

It should actually tell you if there is any hardware without the proper driver.

Now you have to use 64 bit drivers.

Question Jamie,
Do your 32bit programs works on Vista Ultimate 64 Bit without any glitches?
I am curious to know!
Thanks.
Yes 32-bit programs will have no problem running (no problems here), it's the much older programs that require DOS that won't run.

:) sorry for the delay in response guys..
Thanks for repling, I thought Vista would install it's own drivers and stuff from Windows Update and it did..
I was just wondering if there were special 64 bit drivers that needed to be installed for say cpu and chipset..
Yes 32bit apps work without issue aswell..
Thanks again guys..:)

You can look on the manufacturer's website to see if they have 64bit drivers.
For video/sound drivers & chipset drivers, how does one find out if they are 64bit or 32bit on Vista x64?

What is better for you now ?
Question for the Guru's can you dual (or trio) boot xp pro, vu32 and vu 64 ???
XP and VU 32, no problem.. not sure about 64 but should be the same.. if you were to try it, make sure you install XP first then Vista 32 and then Vista 64

I have a triple boot of XP Home 32 bit, XP X64 & Vista Ultimate X64 loaded on this machine.
Home was installed first. Then Xp x64 & then Vista.
I stopped loading them & just boot into Vista. No issues with booting.
Something happened with my XP x64 install when I was trying to install SP2 for it to where the desktop won't load properly. Never went back.
