I have two questions :
(1) I would like my students to upload their photgraphs, video files, sound files etc., using a website I am going to construct.
I want them to be able to upload about 10 files at once.

How do I put up the 'Upload' function on my website?

(2) I want to protect the site from hackers who may upload virus files. How do I prevent them from doing it, for example by automatically rejecting files with .exe extensions etc.?

Will greatly appreciate your help.

Hi drvajra,
First thing you would need is a host with scripting capabilities such as PHP, ASP or some such language. It's not possible unless you have that. If you do we can walk you through the rest fairly easily.

Thank you Kibb for your kind response.

Assuming the host has scripting capabilities such as PHP, ASP, could you please advise how to go about doing it?

Will appreciate your help.

There are a bunch of upload scripts pre-written for your review / use:
