Hey All,

I just switched over from Bell to Rogers and I'm having issues with my phone not ringing. The line and modem are good and I can make and receive calls; however when a calls come, the phones doesn't ring. I've already had a tech come and test with his phone and it worked.

Anyone have the same problem and is there any ideas of what I can do to fix it - last option is buying a new phone(s).

My phone is a GE with 3 wireless handsets - (GE 21028GE3 2.4 GH) - connected directly to the modem

Were the phones working OK on Bell before or new for Rogers?

Try the phones on someone else's phone system to validate the ringing still works.

They were working fine with Belll - they rang when I had to buzz the Rogers tech in the building

Is the phone going into a dialup modem?

If thats the case, then disconnect the phone from the modem, and see if it rings without going through the modem, if thats the case, then your better off putting a phone splitter. Could be that the line voltage with the Rogers phone isn't as strong as with bell and when going through the modem it drops below what the phone is expecting and it doesn't ring.

The phone is connected directly into the Rogers modem. This isn't the same modem that my High-Speed uses. It may be a voltage issue since everything else works fine. I'm puzzled why it doesn't ring and don't feel like spending another 100 dollars for new phones when my existing set works fine :tch:
