A 10" square springform pan. I've never seen one before. I've got round ones in assorted sizes and I love them but of course then you're stuck with round cakes all the time. I bought this one for brownies and lemon squares etc, it should make it easy to get them out of the pan once they're cool. I usually slice and wrap them for lunches and getting them out of a standard square pan is always a bit tricky. I got it at the new Superstore which just opened near here - I'm sure that they're available in other retail outlets as well if anyone's interested.

I use the 9 and 10 inch round ones for cheese cake and they are hard enough to judge for doneness with different recipes. I wonder how a square one would work? Then again I can't ever remember seeing square cheese cake. I can see the round one working with even pressure cause it's round, but a square, I don't know. Let us know how it works out.

The squares I baked turned out fine, they took a bit longer because the pan is a bit bigger than what I usually use. I bought it primarily for baked goods that are cut into squares, I figured it would be easier to cut and remove them if the sides of the pan weren't there.
